The summit of     Vitta Point can be made out from Whitewater Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Whitewater Campground; Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail is a glorious local trail. This camp ground is one of the good places to camp here in the Clearwater Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Clearwater Mountains. Not far from Whitewater Campground, you'll locate Frog Lake which is a lovely lake, and splendid hiking is available along the Three Blaze Trail. Robertson Creek is in the vicinity of Whitewater Campground and is always a bliss to pop by, and float down the rapids of Big Creek in a kayak. So much amusing stuff in the neighborhood of Whitewater Campground, and when you get to enjoy this place for a while you will feel like a different person. Through the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at   Whitewater Campground, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Whitewater Campground fall into the 10's. Whitewater Campground is a good place of common rain; the month with most of the snow is January while July is ordinarily the driest month. And that's not everything you can do here in the Clearwater Mountains. Near Whitewater Campground you find Kenmitzer Bar which is a tremendous site to visit, and the Nez Perce Trail offers hiking at its best. This is such a beautiful campground. Paddling on Salmon River is so much fun, and you can go for a hike on the Chamberlain Trail. You unquestionably have to go to Nez Perce National Forest while you're here at Whitewater Campground, and there's brilliant hiking along the Bismark Trail.
