A good 5-mile-long whitewater bit on Johnson Creek is nearby. This, the Yellow Pine airport

to Johnson Creek gauge portion, is a class II(III). The Yellow Pine airport to Johnson Creek gauge portion of Johnson Creek is well suited for paddlers who have been whitewater rafting or kayaking for some time but who are not yet
prepared for the especially treacherous rapids. You must check restrictions previous to going; whitewater rafting or kayaking could turn treacherous. Ditch Creek is a great spot to explore; going for a hike on the Buck Creek Trail is always a good adventure. This spot, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Boise National Forest is a lovely spot any time of year, and there are nice sites to explore along the McClure Trail.
