| | Talmaks is an annual church camp meeting for the Nez Perce Indians and is not a public campground. It is located on Nez Perce Tribal property.
One of the major characteristics of the surroundings of Talmaks Campground is Mason Butte, and get soaked paddling on Imnaha River. Some people camp here so they can go to Winchester Lake State Park. As if Talmaks Campground wasn't enough, you can also go whitewater paddling, swimming, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
