Talmaks Campground, Idaho Custom Search   Talmaks is an annual church camp meeting for the Nez Perce Indians and is not a public campground. It is located on Nez Perce Tribal property. What a spot this is for outdoors people. There's such a large number of things to do close to Talmaks Campground, and when you're here you're always having a great time. You're sure to come across some great people from Winchester here, and paddling on Imnaha River is so much fun. Scores of people camp here so they can go to Winchester Lake State Park. As long as you have a thing about the outdoors     you will have a thing about Idaho. You've been indoors for too much time, you need to get out of the house, and Talmaks Campground in Idaho is just what you need. An average amount of rain falls at Talmaks Campground; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This is a good campground. The peak of Mason Butte can be spotted from Talmaks Campground, and when you're here it's always fun to visit Dworshak State Park. The delightful selection of local attractions, and all the outdoors recreation are splendid reasons to come. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clearwater River, and do stop by Lapwai Lake, it's a pretty lake. There's more to do right next door to Talmaks Campground other   than just hanging out such as fishing, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. High temperatures at Talmaks Campground through the days of summer are in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's while Talmaks Campground overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Talmaks Campground is in the vicinity of Winchester Lake State Park which is a scenic place, and whitewater paddling is great on Salmon River.
