Talmaks Campground, Idaho   Talmaks is an annual church camp meeting for the Nez Perce Indians and is not a public campground. It is located on Nez Perce Tribal property. One of the major characteristics of the surroundings of Talmaks Campground is Mason Butte, and get soaked paddling on Imnaha River. Some people camp here so they can go to Winchester Lake State Park. As if Talmaks Campground wasn't enough, you can also go whitewater paddling, swimming, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Talmaks Campground sink into the 20's. Paddling on Salmon River is so much fun. Lakes are splendid; Lapwai Lake is a lake that's   near Talmaks Campground. Talmaks Campground is esteemed by the people in Winchester.
