Site is simple. Yeah, come up here to the Wallowa Mountains for a perfect time. Don't leave State Campground Recreation Site without first going for a hike along the Broken Leg Trail, and the snow is good at Brundage Mountain.
Go for a hike on the Lava Butte Trail; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Pollock. State Campground Recreation Site is a very well esteemed campground by the people of Pollock. There's no way to run out of fun things to do near State Campground Recreation Site; spending time at this campground is very pleasant.
 

Be careful coming to the Wallowa Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. There are nice places to explore along the Old Boise Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Little Salmon River offers some good whitewater.
All the wonderful local attractions close at hand and so much stuff to do will definitely have you coming back again and again. State Campground Recreation Site is situated in the Wallowa Mountains.
This is a good campground. A trip to Ponderosa State Park when you're here at State Campground Recreation Site is a great idea. And that's not all you can do here at State Campground Recreation Site. Good hiking is available along the Rapid River Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Hazard Creek.
It is very dry here at State Campground Recreation Site typically; most of the rain falls through May while July is generally the driest month. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's completely out of the question to get bored.
