Squaw Creek Campground is a campground that is incredibly prized by the residents of Avery. This campground has it all. A trip to Squaw Creek Campground wouldn’t be complete without a trip to nearby Lolo National Forest, and there's tremendous hiking along the Nelson Peak Trail.
At Squaw Creek Campground through the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, commonly in the 40's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Squaw
 
Creek Campground dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Soar down the rapids of Clearwater River - Little North Fork in a kayak, and don't leave without popping by St. Joe National Forest. Loads of fun is at this campground. Take a side journey to Stetson Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cedar Mountain Trail.
Finally, it's time for a camping trip again, and Squaw Creek Campground, Idaho is a nice location for getting out. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Squaw Creek Campground. The snow is nice at Lookout Pass, and don't leave Squaw Creek Campground without first going for a hike along the Kyle Creek Trail.
There's more to do in close proximity to Squaw Creek Campground other than just hanging out such as fishing, swimming, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so possibly you want to stay a while. Camping in Idaho is such an enjoyable activity. Having a magnificent time in the Bitterroot Range is simple. Squaw Creek Campground is right by the Trego Point Trail, and whitewater paddling is nice on St. Joe River - North Fork.
You might want to pay a visit to Jitney Gulch while you're here at Squaw Creek Campground, and if the weather is pretty, you obtain a magnificent view of Hammond Point from Squaw Creek Campground. This camp ground is one of the good locations to camp here in the Bitterroot Range.
