the Goat Creek Trail is good fun; Challis National Forest is both good and charming. This is such a splendid campground. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Cliff Creek Trail, and some close by water includes Cow Creek. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Simplot
Campground while nighttime lows are typically in the 30's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's; overnight lows at Simplot Campground through the wintertime ordinarily sink into the-10's. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Salmon River Mountains.
If the weather is good here at Simplot Campground, you can go for a hike along the South Fork Trail, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Loon Creek.
