If you adore the outdoors, you won’t be saddened; there's swimming,     fishing, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always stunning. Here at Salmon River Campground there are plenty of people from Stanley, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Yellow Belly Trail. Going for a hike along the Bull Moose Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Salmon River. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Salmon River Campground, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Salmon River Campground sink into the-10's.
