Nearby you encounter the Clayton Creek to Kelly Forks Campground segment, a class III-IV stretch of whitewater. It's a great 10-mile-from-beginning-to-end stretch on Kelly Creek. Taken as a whole this stretch of Kelly       Creek is an enjoyable place for kayak paddling. Don't go kayak paddling ahead of first checking current conditions; it's risky business. Don't forget to take a great little visit to Ruby Creek, and at Ruby Creek Campground you can   see Ruby Point. This place, the Bitterroot Range, has so much outdoors fun things. Clearwater National Forest is a good place to go if you're at Ruby Creek Campground, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Trout Creek Stock Driveway. This is a good campground.
