May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the amusing stuff you can do is fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so there's no way to get bored. Scores of folks camp here when they come
to go to Nez Perce National Forest.
This is such a fun place for a campground. Good hiking is available along the Nellie Mountain Trail, and there's whitewater on Clearwater River - South Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers. When was the last occasion you went camping

Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at Lost Lake close to Rainy Day Point Campground; there's brilliant hiking along the Pilot Knob Trail. Rainy Day Point is picturesque and can be seen from Rainy Day Point Campground, and a great site for whitewater paddling is Clearwater River - South Fork.
