Primitive campgrounds such as this one can be difficult to get to, but they are scenic. In case natural splendor is what you feel like, this primitive campground is what you need. Water hookups are on hand here, and experience nature in Idaho at its greatest at a primitive campground such as this one. Needless to say there are restrooms here; there aren't loads of services at Powerplant Campground given that it is a primitive campground.

There's such an incredible array of things to do at Powerplant Campground including fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and hiking, so there's absolutely no way to get bored.
This campground is one of the splendid
 places to camp here in the Sawtooth Range. Such a good choice of attractions and such a good variety of outdoors recreation are magnificent reasons to come. You're almost certainly interested in lakes, Elk Lake is one of those close by. Don't forget to take a magnificent little journey to Snowslide Creek; when you're here it's always fun to visit Sawtooth National Forest. Scores of fun is at this campground. Go for a hike on the Black Warrior Creek Trail, and Greene Tree Dam has magnificent water scenery. Really nice skiing awaits you at Soldier Mountain, and nearby you locate Quartz Gulch which is a great location to stop at. There are great locations to explore along the Yuba River Trail,  
and a good panorama of beautiful Greylock Mountain is available. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Powerplant Campground is peerless! Good hiking is available along the Hot Springs Creek Trail, and Challis National Forest is a glorious spot to stretch your legs a bit.
