The Sunbeam Dam to Holman Creek sector on Salmon River is a nearby grade IV whitewater bit, 14 miles long. This sector of Salmon River       is well suited for whitewater paddlers who have been whitewater rafting and kayaking for some time but who are not yet prepared for the very dangerous rapids. Check conditions in advance of a trip on the whitewater, or else it's not   secure. Polecamp Creek is a pretty stream that is worth a visit. Going for a hike on the Bull Moose Trail is always a perfect adventure; splendid water scenery is available at Sunbeam Dam close to Polecamp Flat Campground. This is really a glorious campground.
