| | Lots of folks stay here in order to be near Challis National Forest. High temperatures at Point Campground through the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows at Point Campground through the wintertime usually dip into the-10's. Point Campground is pretty waterless regularly; December is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month is July.

Some activities here at Point Campground are hiking,
swimming, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. The slopes of Soldier Mountain Ski Resort are so inviting noone can resist, and there's whitewater on Salmon River for all you adrenaline kick people.
