Penny Spring Campground, Salmon River Mountains, Idaho

  If you come to this campground, you will have a wonderful time for sure. If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River - South Fork offers some great whitewater; why not take a refreshing hike along the Trout Creek Trail. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. While you're here at Penny Spring Campground, you could also visit scenic Roaring Lakes, and Penny Spring Campground is right by the Blackmare Cutoff Trail.
Summertime at Penny Spring Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night
    it cools down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 30's, and night lows at Penny Spring Campground all through the wintertime mostly drop into the 10's. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Penny Spring Campground; throughout January this area sees
the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
Yep, outdoors fun things to do are truly bountiful here at Penny Spring Campground. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Tamarack, and the White Rock Peak Trail offers hiking at its best. This section of Idaho is always a bliss to stop at during camping season. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Johnson Creek, and hiking along the South Fork Blackmare Cutoff is pleasant fun.

much. Payette National Forest is both brilliant and picturesque, and it's in the neighborhood of Penny Spring Campground. There's heaps of outdoors recreation available around here such as fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of entertaining things to do won’t happen.
Ok, time to get out and breathe some fresh air, time has come to get out, and Penny Spring Campground in Idaho is a wonderful site to go.
Visit Nickel Creek while you're here at Penny Spring Campground, and there's tremendous hiking along the Dollar Creek Way. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. Penny Spring Campground is in close proximity to Boise National Forest which is a beautiful site, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Salmon River - South Fork. Loads of folks camp here to pop by nearby Payette National Forest.
There is so much entertaining stuff to do close to Penny Spring Campground, and camping is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a wonderful site to do that. The great choice of local attractions, and the great variety of outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back repeatedly.
