If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River - South Fork offers some great whitewater; why not take a refreshing hike along the Trout Creek Trail. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. While you're here at Penny Spring Campground, you could also visit scenic Roaring Lakes, and Penny Spring Campground is right by the Blackmare Cutoff Trail.

Visit Nickel Creek while you're here at Penny Spring Campground, and there's tremendous hiking along the Dollar
Creek Way. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. Penny Spring Campground is in close proximity to Boise National Forest which is a beautiful site, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Salmon River - South Fork. Loads of folks camp here to pop
by nearby Payette National Forest.
There is so much entertaining stuff to do close to Penny Spring Campground, and camping is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a wonderful site to do that. The great choice of local attractions, and the great variety of outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back repeatedly.
