Having a fine time in the Salmon River Mountains is uncomplicated. Drift down the rapids of Salmon River - South Fork in a kayak, and there are great sites to explore along the Burnt Log Trail. Pen Basin Campground is a good location of typical rain; through the month of January you get the most snow around here; the driest month is July. Get soaked paddling on Johnson Creek, |
and why not a little side spree to Sand Creek.
Pen Basin Campground is located in a neighborhood with a lot of enjoyable stuff to do, and you always have a good time when you're here. During the long summer days here at Pen Basin Campground, high temperatures ordinarily
| get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 30's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Pen Basin Campground. So many amusing things right next door to Pen Basin Campground, truly mind-blowing. Good hiking is available along the Tyndall Ridge Trail, and spots like Pen Basin are fine to have a look at. the outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back again and again. Some of the things you can do here at Pen Basin Campground are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so probably you want to stick around. It's impossible to get bored in Idaho if you like the outdoors.
