Packsaddle Campground, Salmon River Mountains, Idaho

If you come at the right time of year, Deadwood River offers some splendid whitewater, and Cascade State Park is a good place to stretch your legs a bit. Hiking along the Whitehawk Basin Trail is tremendous fun; float down the rapids of Deadwood River in a kayak.

Going for a hike along the Rattlesnake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and when you're here it's always fun to have a look at Boise National Forest.
