There aren't a lot of facilities at Lafferty Campground as it is a primitive campground. The natural loveliness at this primitive campground is wonderful, and primitive campgrounds like these is an outstanding way to get out in the outdoors. On nearby Wildhorse River you come upon a type III-IV sweep of whitewater; the Bear Creek Bridge to Snake River confluence section is 14 miles long. This sweep of Wildhorse River is appropriate for whitewater boaters who have been kayak paddling for a while but who are not yet | |

on a wonderful lake called Lost Valley Reservoir near Lafferty Campground, and don't leave Lafferty Campground without first going for a hike along the Red Ledge Trail. This is such a wonderful campground. Dick Ross Creek is a magnificent spot to go to, and pleasant hiking is available along the Summit Creek Trail. Coyote Gulch is a delightful location to stop at close by, and going for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail is always a splendid adventure.
