Near Huckleberry Campground is a magnificent 71.5-mile-long part of whitewater on Snake River,
 
    a class II-IV, this is the Hells Canyon Dam to Washington Border sector. It can be said that this part of Snake River is a location for fun whitewater kayaking or rafting. Of course, whitewater kayaking or rafting is cool but hazardous;
  check restrictions in advance of a trip. A fine 4.7-mile-long trail boasting a fine 3,050-foot altitude difference can be found close at hand. This is the Summit Creek Trail; it's a stunning walk. Summit Creek Trail takes one day to walk; it's a difficult trail. Take a hike on the Deep Creek Trail, and there are other places here than Huckleberry Campground, for example Emerald Lake.
