  There's absolutely no way to run out of fun stuff to do close to Grouse Campground; when you are here for a while you will feel like a new person. Grouse Campground is an old favorite with the people in New Meadows. At this campground you will always have a glorious time. Don't leave Grouse Campground without visiting Ponderosa State Park, and do take a hike on the Broken Leg Trail.
All the tremendous local attractions in close proximity and the nearby outdoors recreation will beyond doubt have you coming back time and again. Camping out unquestionably
    is an entertaining thing to do, and Grouse Campground in Idaho is just what you need.
Grouse Campground is a location that is pretty dry commonly; the month with most of the rain is May while July is regularly the driest month. In Idaho you never run out of outdoors fun stuff.
Not far from Grouse Campground you acquire some delightful water scenery at Goose Lake Dam, and a day on the slopes of Brundage Mountain is just what you need. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the exciting stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so almost certainly you want to stick around for a while. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
So much exciting stuff close to Grouse Campground, clearly tremendous. A spree to Grouse Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to close by Payette National Forest; there's
 
magnificent hiking along the Crestline Trail. The great folks of New Meadows like to hang out nearby, and the Box Lake Trail offers hiking at its best.
All through the warm days of summer highs here at Grouse Campground reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Grouse Campground are in the 20's. This campground is so glorious. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more cool things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Payette River - North Fork, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Fall Creek Trail.
A number of people opt for this campground for the purpose of being close to Ponderosa State Park. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Salmon River Mountains rocks! Get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Hard Creek; splendid hiking is available along the Lava Butte Trail.
