down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Grouse Campground are in the 20's. This campground is so glorious. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more cool things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Payette River - North Fork, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Fall Creek Trail. A number of people opt for this campground for the purpose of being close to Ponderosa State Park. Whohoo,
