Slaughterhouse Gulch is a wonderful place to spend some time at; if the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a magnificent vista of Bachelor Mountain from Greylock Campground. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Going to Yankee Fork State Park in close proximity to Greylock Campground is a splendid thing to do; whitewater paddling is fine on Salmon |
River. This is truly a fine campground. A visit to Challis National Forest when you're here at Greylock Campground is a glorious idea; swing by Greylock Creek it's a fine place to explore. This camp ground is one of the glorious sites to camp here in the Salmon River Mountains.
| Greylock Campground gets very little rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow while July is typically the driest month. Throughout the months of summer at Greylock Campground highs are mostly in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while Greylock Campground overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-10's.
