There is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Golden Gate Campground called the Ditch Creek Trail; Golden Gate Hill can be distinguished from Golden Gate Campground. If the weather is magnificent here at Golden Gate Campground, you can go for a hike along the Parks Peak Trail, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Johnson Creek.

This campground is so lovely. You definitely should go to Payette National Forest if you're here at Golden Gate Campground. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Going for a hike on the South Fork Sheep Creek Trail is always a glorious adventure; Golden Gate Campground is a place with many visitors from Yellow Pine.
