This campground is situated in the scenic Salmon River Mountains.
Such a great selection of attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are fine motives to come.
Some activities here at Fir Springs Campground are hiking, whitewater paddling, swimming, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Fir Springs Campground is a primitive campground which unsurprisingly
 
    means that there are a small number of services. After you arrive at this primitive campground you'll realize it was well worth the effort getting here.
You've been indoors for too much time, you need to get out of the house,
 and Fir Springs Campground in Idaho is a glorious place to go. There's a nice 14-mile-long class IV-V whitewater segment on Deadwood River nearby, the Deadwood Reservoir to End of Road section. Taken as a whole this segment of Deadwood River is a tough location for whitewater kayaking or rafting. Don't go whitewater kayaking or rafting prior to first checking the latest conditions; it's risky stuff. Go for a hike on the Wild Buck Trail, and Payette National Forest is a great location to go. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Fir Springs Campground; Gem County Stock Trail is a good local trail. Some of the water close  
by flows, like Granite Creek, and good hiking is available along the Whitehawk Basin Trail. There are other places here than Fir Springs Campground, for example Deadwood Reservoir.
