It is truly pretty here at this primitive campground, and of course it can be tough to get to a primitive campground such as this one, but it's worth the effort. There aren't many conveniences at Fir Creek Campground given that it is a primitive campground. At this primitive campground you may get a nicer wilderness experience than you would get at a more civilized campground. The good variety of local attractions and so many things to do are sure to keep you coming back time and again.

The Fir Creek Campground to Middle Fork Salmon confluence sector, a whitewater segment on Bear Valley Creek is 7 miles in length. This close by segment of whitewater is a type II-III. This segment of Bear Valley Creek is a cool segment for whitewater rafting or kayaking. Kayak paddling may become treacherous, so check current conditions prior to departure. A spree to Challis National Forest revitalizes the spirit, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Soldier Mountain is quite near. This place, the Sawtooth Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. While you're here at Fir Creek Campground you can take  
a hike along the Blue Bunch Trail, and Bear Valley is a magnificent spot to spend some time. This is a wonderful campground. On a good day at Fir Creek Campground you can take a hike along the Camptender Trail, and getting to Fir Creek from Fir Creek Campground is easy.
