Wall Creek flows through this area, and there are some great
whitewater spots on Camas Creek. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Elk Bar Campground has it all. Head up to Lost Trail and strap some skis to your feet, and going for a hike on the South Fork Trail is always a magnificent adventure.
So much fun stuff to
do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time. There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Elk Bar Campground called the Waterfall Trail, and naturally, everyone loves Salmon National Forest.
