Good hiking is available along the Freezeout Trail, and get your pulse rate up on the wonderful whitewater of Clearwater River - Little North Fork. So much cool stuff in close proximity to EC Rettig Campground; it is a splendid escape from the mundane.   This campground is so lovely. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Lolo Creek; nearby you stumble on the Rukgaber Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. The yearly precipitation here at EC Rettig Campground is about average; all through the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to EC Rettig Campground. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's while EC Rettig Campground overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.
