There are so many exciting things to do right next door to Black Lake Campground, and if you're seeking a fine place to go camping, this is a great choice. Black Lake Campground
    is regularly a pretty waterless place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
Some activities here at Black Lake Campground are hiking, fishing, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things
to do. This campground is a charming site to take a look at. Going for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and drift down the rapids of Little Salmon River in a kayak. There's delightful hiking along the Sheep Rock National Recreation Trail; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Brundage Mountain.
This camp ground is one of the splendid sites to camp here in the Wallowa Mountains. For the period of the warm months, highs commonly are in the 90's at Black Lake Campground. Summer night lows dip down to the
 
50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Black Lake Campground dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wallowa Mountains. Go for a hike on the Rapid River Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Hazard Creek.
And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do close to Black Lake Campground. Good hiking is available along the Red Ledge Trail, and Horse Pasture Basin is a wonderful site to check out. This is such a fun site for a campground. Paddling on Snake River is so much fun; a gorgeous lake like Black Lake is a delightful site to take a look at. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Wallowa Mountains. Don't leave Black Lake Campground without first going for a hike along the Old Boise Trail; the panorama of delightful Pyramid Peak is nice.
