Boise National Forest is a great location, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Little Sage Hen Ridge Trail. This campground is so great. Everybody close by loves skiing at Tamarack. There's whitewater on Payette River for all you adrenaline kick people, and there's wonderful   hiking along the Big Eddy Trail. It's impossible to run out of entertaining stuff to do near Big Eddy Campground; camping is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a glorious place to do that. During the days of summer at Big Eddy Campground highs are commonly in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Big Eddy Campground sink into the 10's. There's such a vast number of things to do at Big Eddy Campground including swimming, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. If you come at the right time of year, Payette River - North Fork offers some brilliant whitewater; as expected, everyone loves Cascade State Park. It is very dried up here at Big Eddy Campground mostly; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that snows the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
