Everybody needs to go camping every so often, and Don Williams Campground in Iowa is exactly the place. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the fun stuff you can do is hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, playing golf, and fishing, so it's not possible to get bored. Don Williams Campground is a very well loved campground by the folks of Pilot Mound. |
It's impossible to get bored in Iowa if you have a thing about the outdoors. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Seven Oaks, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Soldiers Creek. Loads of fun is at this campground. Don Williams Campground is a good
| spot of normal precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout June while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Ledges State Park is a brilliant location to go to on a gorgeous day; the smiling folks of Pilot Mound like to hang out nearby. Don Williams Lake Dam is worth going to while you're here, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boone River. into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Don Williams Campground drop into the 0's. The fine local attractions and so much to do will definitely have you coming back again and again. For you golfers we
recommend nearby Don Williams Golf Course, and you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Don Williams Lake is one of those close by. This campground has so incredibly much. The Brushy Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and Briggs Woods Spillway - Ditch 166 has a pleasant
whitewater paddling spot nearby. A number of folks stay at Don Williams Campground in order to be right next door to Ledges State Park. What a place this is for outdoors people. An afternoon playing golf at Boone Golf & Country Club is always a pleasure, and you certainly ought to stop at Spring Lake County Park while you're here.
