of River Mountain. There's heaps of outdoors recreation available nearby such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so perhaps you want to stay for a while. This is such a good campground. Hiking along the Thorn Mountain Trail is tremendous fun, and Black Rock Mountain State
Park is a great location. All through the summer here at Tate Branch Campground, high temperatures usually reach the 80's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, regularly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Tate Branch Campground overnight low
temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. The high level of rain makes Tate Branch Campground a pretty wet place; all through March this area sees the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
