Get yourself into a kayak and hit Natchaug River; if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Woodstock Town Beach. Lots of fun is at this campground. Pine Ridge has glorious slopes and a friendly staff; a tour to Bigelow Hollow State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. River, and Royal Oaks Country Club is a glorious golf course nearby. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a very good spot to check out in close proximity to Black Pond Campground; there are swamps here too, Great Cedar Swamp is in close proximity.
| Quite a lot of exciting stuff to do in the neighborhood of Black Pond Campground, and it certainly is a good campground. If you go for the outdoors, you won’t be let down; there's playing golf, swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, and hiking, so running out of exciting stuff to do won’t happen. Don't leave Black Pond Campground without first going for a hike along the Border Trail, and Dickinson Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Good hiking is available along the Munyan Trail, and Mashamoquet Brook State Park is a great spot to stop by | |

you always meet someone from Woodstock Valley. Ok, you've been cooped up for too much time, and Black Pond Campground, Connecticut is a good location for getting out. The warmest time of the year at Black Pond Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the
dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Black Pond Campground.
