If the weather is lovely, you get a good view of Lonesome Peak from Western Box Campground, and Arapaho National Forest is a good place to stop at on a wonderful day. There's always Meadow Creek Dam to visit near Western Box Campground, and close by Coberly Gulch is a splendid site to go.
