West Fork Campground, San Juan and Jemez Mountains, Colorado

  This camp ground is one of the magnificent spots to camp here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. West Fork Campground gets very little rainfall; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is June. There's so much stuff to do right next door to West Fork Campground, and if you're trying to find a great place to go for a weekend of camping, this is a great pick.
With so much stuff to do in Colorado you'll never get bored. During the summertime, highs regularly are in the 70's at West Fork Campground.
    All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 30's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at West Fork Campground descend into the-10's. So many fun things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not sufficient
time. Some of the water nearby flows, like Wolf Creek, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Rainbow Trail.
While you're here at West Fork Campground it's a good idea to stop at Poison Park, and the Coal Creek Stock Drive is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. There's more to do right next door to West Fork Campground other than just hanging out such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. The surroundings of this campground have so much stuff to offer.
This is truly a great campground. You can never
 
get enough of the good skiing at Wolf Creek, and there are some great whitewater spots on San Juan River - East Fork. Hey, it's about time you went camping, don't you think? West Fork Campground, Colorado is a great place for getting out.
The splendid local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back repeatedly.
There's no way anyone can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There is a nice hiking trail near West Fork Campground called the Rainbow Trail, and there's whitewater on San Juan River for all you adrenaline junkies.
Going for a hike along the Windy Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and on a delightful day you get a delightful view of Sliderock Mountain from West Fork Campground. Having a delightful time at West Fork Campground is painless. If the weather is great here at West Fork Campground, you can go for a hike along the Treasure Mountain Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Wolf Creek offers some wonderful whitewater.
