Grand Mesa National Forest is a magnificent local forest, and you'll probably meet some people from Cedaredge here. Through the summertime months here at Weir and Johnson Campground, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Weir and Johnson Campground.

Not much rain falls here at Weir and Johnson Campground; March is the wettest month with most rain, and June is the month
with the least moisture. There's delightful hiking along the High Foot Trail, and a trip to Vega State Park is a splendid idea.
