Tunnel Campground, Medicine Bow Mountains, Colorado   This has been a favorite vacation/relaxation spot for my family for many years. The popularity has grown and the campground is very busy during the summer months on weekends. There is great stream and lake fishing nearby, plenty of trails for hiking and an evening drive to Long Draw Reservoir is guaranteed to provide sightings of elk and moose. At Tunnel Campground you don’t see much precipitation; May is when you get the most     rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Loads of people camp here to take a look at close by State Forest State Park. This campground is a magnificent location to take a look at. There's more to do near Tunnel Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. Loads of fun is at this campground. Take a side visit to Half Mile Creek; don't leave Tunnel Campground without first going for a hike along the Blue Lake Trail. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Medicine Bow Mountains. There is a pleasant hiking trail in close proximity to Tunnel Campground called the Green Ridge Trail; you can run the rapids of Cache La Poudre River. There's whitewater on Joe Wright Creek for all you adrenaline junkies,   and when you're here it's always fun to take a look at Roosevelt National Forest. Tunnel Campground is a fine camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Medicine Bow Mountains. Go for a hike on the Lower Nunn Creek Trail, and Rocky Mountain National Park is a good local destination. There is so much amusing stuff to do near Tunnel Campground, and it is one of many great campgrounds in this vicinity. Having a magnificent time at Tunnel Campground is trouble-free. Cache La Poudre River is a nice whitewater spot right next door to Tunnel Campground, and Tunnel Campground is in close proximity to State Forest State Park which is a lovely place. These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting things to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. There are perfect places to discover along the West Branch Trail, and going for a hike on the Camp Lake Trail is always a great adventure. When was the last time you went for a camping trip? Tunnel Campground is a great local campground if you happen to be in Colorado. All through the months of summer highs here at Tunnel Campground get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 30's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Tunnel Campground.
