Tunnel Campground, Medicine Bow Mountains, Colorado   This has been a favorite vacation/relaxation spot for my family for many years. The popularity has grown and the campground is very busy during the summer months on weekends. There is great stream and lake fishing nearby, plenty of trails for hiking and an evening drive to Long Draw Reservoir is guaranteed to provide sightings of elk and moose. Some of the things you can do here at Tunnel Campground are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so     possibly you want to stick around. So much cool stuff to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains, too fine to be true. If you haven’t been to Rocky Mountain National Park, you should schedule some time for it if you're here, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the West Branch Trail. All year is a good time in the Medicine Bow Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Visit Half Mile Creek since you're here at Tunnel Campground; don't leave without visiting State Forest State Park. At Tunnel Campground during the warm months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows at Tunnel Campground during the winter typically drop into the 0's. This campground is a gorgeous location to go to. Get your pulse rate   up on the pleasant whitewater of Cache La Poudre River; the Lower Nunn Creek Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Quite a lot of amusing things to do close to Tunnel Campground, and it is one of loads of great campgrounds in this area. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Tunnel Campground, too great to be true. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Joe Wright Creek, and going for a hike along the Camp Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Going for a weekend of camping here in Colorado is something you must do. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Green Ridge Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cache La Poudre River. The great local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will absolutely have you coming back time and again. If you're feeling down from spending too much time inside, No cause for concern; Tunnel Campground in Colorado is such a great location. At Tunnel Campground you don’t see much precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. This is such a fun location for a campground. A spree to Tunnel Campground wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Roosevelt National Forest; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Blue Lake Trail.
