Campground, and a journey to Mesa Verde National Park is worthwhile. If you come to this campground, you will have a perfect time for sure. All our national parks are delightful spots to stop by, and Yucca House National Monument is no exception, and there is a pleasant hiking
trail nearby called the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway.
What a place this is for outdoors folks. Places like Coyote Park are nice to pop by, and going for a hike on the Bear Creek Trail is always a wonderful adventure. This campground has everything. Not far from Transfer Campground,
you'll stumble on Morgan Reservoir which is a stunning lake; a trip to Mancos State Park when you're here is never a bad idea.
Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Dolores River; close by you stumble on the Gold Run Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. If the
weather is great here at Transfer Campground, you can go for a hike along the Chicken Creek Trail, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Morrison Trail.
Transfer Campground is generally a relatively dry site; through March this area sees the most snow, and the driest of the months is June.
