If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Front Range. A journey to Roxborough State Park rejuvenates the spirit, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Payne Creek Trail. At Tramway Campground you don’t see much rain; July is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. |

you come at the right time of year, South Platte River - North Fork offers some nice whitewater. Tramway Campground is a campground loved by folks from Buffalo Creek. You could also go to Wellington Lake since you're here at Tramway Campground; it's nearby; you're sure to come
across some good folks from Buffalo Creek here. There's plenty of outdoors recreation available in close proximity such as hiking, whitewater paddling, fishing, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do. This is such a glorious campground. Take a little journey to
Tramway Creek if you're here at Tramway Campground, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Hankins Trail. Pike National Forest is a good place to go to, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Lake Park Trail. All the great local attractions
in close proximity and the great variety of outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend South Platte River, and the peak of Baldy Peak can be spotted from Tramway Campground.
