You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has to offer. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Piedra River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Teal Campground; Fern Creek Stock Driveway is a good local trail. way to spend an afternoon. The nice variety of local attractions and such an incredible array of things to do are sure to keep you coming back time and again. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Devil Mountain Trail, and drift down the rapids of Rio Grande in a kayak.

Sure, Williams Reservoir is in the vicinity, and a tour here wouldn’t be complete without a journey to nearby San Juan National Forest. to Teal Campground, you might not ever wanna go home again. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Williams Creek Dam in the vicinity of Teal Campground, and the Middle Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. A day on the slopes of Wolf Creek is just what you need,
and Teal Campground is right by the Piedra Stock Trail. This campground has so many exciting things to offer. If you come at the right time of year, Piedra River offers some perfect whitewater. For the duration of the summer months, highs usually are in the 70's at Teal Campground
with nighttime lows in the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are generally in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Teal Campground descend into the-10's.
