If you come at the right time of year, Gunnison River offers some great whitewater; if you want a little side journey, try Browns Gulch. This campground has so incredibly much. A tour to San Isabel National Forest when you're here at Taylor Canyon Campground is never a bad idea, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend East River.
If you come to this campground, you will have a perfect time for sure. Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a great local destination here at Taylor Canyon Campground, and don't leave Taylor Canyon Campground without first going for a hike along the Granite Basin Trail.
