Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Dolores River, and don't leave Target Tree Campground without first going for a hike along the Morrison Trail. Going camping for a couple of days here in Colorado is something you ought to do.

| mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do in the Mesa Verde. Take a little visit to Cottonwood Creek if you're here at Target Tree Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Bear Creek Trail.
Target Tree Campground is pretty arid commonly; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is June. This camp ground is to be found in the striking Mesa Verde. A visit to Mesa Verde National Park is worthwhile; Thompson Park is a good location.
