Excellent place for capturing sunrise and sunset photos. Found the campsite clean and quiet. Paved loop around all sites, with gravel parking. Says Carlton Water hookups are offered here, and there are obviously restrooms at this campground. It is genuinely beautiful here at this primitive campground; primitive camping is an excellent way to be close to the wilderness. Amenities and facilities are few in primitive campgrounds such as Sunshine Campground. Getting to a primitive campground such as Sunshine Campground can be rather hard, but it's well       worth it. As long as you have a thing about the outdoors you will have a thing about Colorado. Sunshine Campground is one of the places to camp here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. There's such an incredible array of things   to do in the vicinity of Sunshine Campground; it is one of scores of splendid campgrounds in this neighborhood. There's more to do in close proximity to Sunshine Campground other than just hanging out such as playing golf, whitewater paddling, swimming, fishing, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. The fine variety of local attractions and so much stuff to do are glorious reasons to come. Sunshine Campground is an old favorite with folks from Ophir. The 18 great ski lifts take skiers up the 3,845-foot   drop at the close by ski area Telluride. Telluride has an average of 26 feet of snow every year on its 115 slopes.
