You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area close to Sunshine Campground has to offer. This location, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things. Glide down the rapids of San Miguel River in a kayak; there are delightful sites to discover along the East Fork Trail. This campground |
is so good. Ridgway State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit; there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Sheep Trail.
Some of the things you can do here at Sunshine Campground are playing golf, hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so most
| likely you want to stick around for a while. The surroundings of this campground have such an incredible array of things to offer. There's some flowing water close by, Gold Creek is a stream you can visit during your stay, and you can go for a hike on the Wilson Mesa Trail.

Sunshine Campground really is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Near Sunshine Campground you find the Lizard Head Trail which
is a great hiking trail; since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Ophir. Camping out positively is a great thing to do, and Sunshine Campground is a delightful local campground if you happen to be in Colorado.

in Ophir. At Sunshine Campground through the summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; overnight lows during the winter for Sunshine Campground tend to be in the 0's. This camp ground is situated in the
charming Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Mineral Creek - South offers some nice whitewater, and going for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail is always a great
adventure. While you're here at Sunshine Campground, you could also pop by charming Cushman Lake; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Telluride since you're here.
Around Sunshine Campground you don’t get a lot of rain; July is the wettest month with most
rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. In Colorado you never run out of outdoors exciting stuff.
There are some great whitewater spots on Lime Creek; for you golfers we recommend nearby Telluride Ski & Golf Club.
