The tremendous local attractions and such a tremendous variety of outdoors recreation will make you pleased you came. Be careful coming to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. People from Ophir love to come to Sunshine Campground, and do take a hike on the East Fork Trail. Yeah, come up |
here to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains for a good time. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Lime Creek, and playing golf is lots of fun at Telluride Ski & Golf Club. Telluride is a splendid local ski area, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Mineral Creek - South.
| The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This is such a fun place for a campground. There's great hiking along the Sheep Trail, and Sunshine Campground is near Ridgway State Park which is a wonderful place.
For the period of the days of summer at Sunshine Campground highs are usually in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's while Sunshine Campground night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. It's not possible to run out of cool stuff to do | |

hanging out such as fishing, swimming, playing golf, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. Outdoors people generally go for this part of Colorado.
There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Sunshine Campground. Why not take a refreshing
hike along the Deep Creek Trail, and an out of the ordinary thing to visit right next door to Sunshine Campground is Cushman Dam. Sunshine Campground is liked by folks from Ophir.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sunshine Campground; Lizard Head Trail is a great local trail; get covered with water paddling on San Miguel River.
