You find the 5.8-mile-in-length Cheeseman Reservoir to Deckers portion of South Platte River close by; this is a category IV whitewater sweep. This portion of South Platte River is fitting for whitewater boaters who have been paddling for a period of time but who are not yet prepared for the truly risky rapids. Check restrictions prior to departure on the whitewater, or else it's not safe and sound. You'll meet a lot
 
of folks from Sedalia here; needless to say Cabin Creek is a striking stream that is worth a visit. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Front Range.
