Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Grizzly Creek; needless to say, everyone loves Yampa River Legacy State Park. Hiking along the Ute Trail is nice fun, and you obtain a nice vista of Himes Peak from here. Everybody loves Amphitheatre; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the High Trail. At Shepherds Rim Campground during the summer highs are in the 80's.     Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Shepherds Rim Campground is pretty dried out generally; the wettest month of the year is regularly October, that's the one that rains the most, and January is the month with the least moisture. Shepherds Rim Campground is not the only spot nearby, Crescent Lake is a nearby lake; there are some tremendous whitewater spots on White River - North Fork. The surroundings of this campground have such a great deal of things to offer. All the tremendous local attractions nearby and the nearby outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. As if Shepherds Rim Campground wasn't enough, you can also go fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and hiking, so almost certainly you want to stay for a while.
