  The good local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back over and over. The snow is wonderful at Breckenridge; a journey to Arapaho National Forest is a glorious idea. The Miners Creek Trail is a fine hiking trail near Selkirk Campground.
This is such a great campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Arkansas River, and there are plenty of people from Breckenridge here at Selkirk Campground. You really can't be inside all the time; you've got to get out of the house
    now and then; Selkirk Campground in Colorado is a really good place to spend some time. Selkirk Campground gets very little rain; most of the rain falls during July while January is ordinarily the driest month.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Tenmile Creek, and close by you

This is such a wonderful campground. If you come at the right time of year, Arkansas River offers some perfect whitewater, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Old Boreas Wagon Road. High temperatures at Selkirk Campground through the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and night lows all through the winter for Selkirk Campground tend to be in the-10's.
Selkirk Campground is situated in an area with a lot of enjoyable things to do; what a good place for camping it is. You definitely must like Selkirk Campground. Going for a hike along the Wheeler Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and the view of Boreas Mountain is scenic.
