There's some flowing water nearby, Sims Creek is a stream you can visit while here, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Hankins Trail. Colorado has such a great deal of things to offer nature
lovers.
If the weather is tremendous here at Reservoir Campground, you can go for a hike along the Longwater Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Reservoir Campground; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures throughout
the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Reservoir Campground dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. At this campground you will always have a good time. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a fine national park, needless to say you could also check out Wagon Tongue Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all.
