| of the Park Range. Going for a hike on the Nottingham Ridge Trail is always a glorious adventure, and White River National Forest is both magnificent and wonderful. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Park Range. The slopes of Vail are so inviting nobody can resist, and close by you discover the Piney Lake Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. arid generally; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is commonly the driest month. Piney Crossing Campground is incredibly popular with folks from Vail. There's whitewater on Eagle River for all you adrenaline people. Piney Crossing Campground is a location with many visitors from Vail, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Lost Lake Trail.
