| | Colorado is a great outdoors state. Man, is there lots of amusing things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This is a popular site for people from Chimney Rock, and whitewater paddling is good on Piedra River. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you won’t be dissatisfied; there's whitewater paddling, and hiking, so almost certainly you want to stay a bit. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Piedra Hunter Campground in Colorado is the outdoors at its finest. If you come to this campground, you will have a wonderful time for sure. |
San Juan National Forest is a tremendous site to stretch your legs a bit. Going for a hike on the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway is always a tremendous adventure; First Box Canyon is close by, and is a wonderful spot. Piedra Hunter Campground is a very popular old favorite campground
| among folks in Chimney Rock. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always scenic. During the warmest time of the year at Piedra Hunter Campground highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Piedra Hunter Campground are in the 0's. You clearly have to fancy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. of year. This campground has so much amusing stuff to offer. Near Piedra Hunter Campground you discover the Middle Mountain Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail; in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Piedra River. Piedra Hunter Campground
is to be found in an area with loads of entertaining things to do, and it is a very great campground. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Piedra Hunter Campground. A splendid place for whitewater paddling near Piedra Hunter Campground is Piedra
River, and don't leave Piedra Hunter Campground without first going for a hike along the Fourmile Stock Trail. There is a wonderful hiking trail right next door to Piedra Hunter Campground called the Devil Mountain Trail, and while you're here, you could pop by First Fork Piedra
River. From a rainfall point of view Piedra Hunter Campground is a relatively common location; August is when you get the most rain here, and June on the other hand is the driest.
