This is such a good campground. Lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Vallecito Reservoir near Old Timbers Campground; lots of folks from Bayfield come here. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
There are some nice whitewater spots on Canyon Creek, and fine hiking is available along the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway. At Old Timbers Campground exciting stuff to do is plentiful, and many people like to come here to get away. The warmest time of the year at Old Timbers Campground
arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Old Timbers Campground. Old Timbers Campground is a tremendous camp ground to use as a base while
enjoying the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. All the outdoors fun things next to Old Timbers Campground will keep you coming back again and again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Vallecito Creek, and Gut Canyon is a brilliant place to spend some time.
