If the weather is tremendous here at Oak Creek Campground, you can go for a hike along the Highline Trail, and don't leave without visiting Rio Grande National Forest. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the fun stuff you can do is hiking, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.

wet paddling on Arkansas River. So much entertaining stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just amazing. Going for a hike on the Tanner Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and folks from Canon City love to come here.

| to get out every so often; Oak Creek Campground in Colorado is such a great site. This place is great, just explore all the fun stuff to do right next door to Oak Creek Campground. There is a delightful hiking trail close to Oak Creek Campground called the Sheeley Trail, and a wonderful location to take a look at nearby is Lion Canyon.

This camp ground is one of the brilliant sites to camp here in the
Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A campground like this is too perfect to miss. Go for a hike on the Mineral-Stevens Trail; paddling on Arkansas River is so much fun.
Colorado is a great site for outdoors folks. At Oak Creek Campground all through the warmest time of the year highs
are in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Oak Creek Campground temperatures fall to the 20's.
