down the rapids of Arkansas River in a kayak, and there are splendid sites to look at along the Tanner Trail. There's more to do in the vicinity of Oak Creek Campground other than just hanging out such as hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so you won’t run
out of things to do. Oak Creek Campground is typically a rather dried out location; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Oak Creek Campground is a very popular campground with folks in Rockvale.
