| | This place, the Front Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. If you come at the right time of year, Saint Vrain Creek - North offers some splendid whitewater. Mount Meeker Campground is regularly a reasonably dry location; August is the month that gets the most rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's great hiking along the Thunder Lake Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Saint Vrain Creek - South.
