Mosca Campground, Colorado

  We've camped here since our now 40ish childrlen were young. They are now taking their children there. Mosca is beautiful both to the eye and the heart. It is a little more difficult now that there is no potable water, but one can use lake water for dishes, and must bring in drinking and cooking water.Fishing is great - the deer put on a show eve4ry night. The camp hostess, Mary, is there is to help you with problems, and to give great advice.Other than the water problem, this is the greatest camp ground I've ever occupied! Says Judith Reece

    High temperatures at Mosca Campground through the summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 30's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Mosca Campground through the winter regularly plunge into the-10's.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lake Creek, and the snow is delightful at Snowmass.
Among the things you can do right next door to Mosca Campground are fishing, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. A visit to Buck Gulch is always fun; why not a little side spree to Rocky Brook. This is such a fun location for a campground. Going for a hike along the Summerville Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you have time to spare, Curecanti National Recreation
 
Area is a national park worth taking a look at.
The good variety of local attractions and the good variety of outdoors recreation are glorious reasons to come. Mosca Campground gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the snow is December, and the driest month of the year is June.
If the weather is great here at Mosca Campground, you can go for a hike along the Granite Basin Trail, and Spring Creek Dam is gorgeous. Take a hike on the Star Trail, and Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a delightful local destination.
This campground is a picturesque location to pop by. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Matchless Trail, and soar down the rapids of Roaring Fork in a kayak. Mosca Campground is located in an area with lots of fun things to do, and it is one of many perfect campgrounds in this region.
Any time is a delightful time at Mosca Campground if you like the outdoors. The Onemile Cattle Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in close proximity to Mosca Campground, and of course, this is a magnificent vicinity for folks who like lakes, Mysterious Lake is a lake nearby. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Mosca Campground. You positively ought to visit San Isabel National Forest while you're here at Mosca Campground. Mosca Campground is a very popular campground among people in Almont.
