Diversion Dam since you're here, and Clear Creek - West Fork is a perfect whitewater spot close by. Good hiking is available along the Sevenmile Ski Trail, and Clear Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. When you're here at Midland Campground it's always fun
to stop at Arapaho National Forest, and while you're here, you could check out Parry Creek. Midland Campground gets very little precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This is really a wonderful campground.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Midland Campground; Mount Nystrom Trail is a good local trail, and Golden Gate Canyon State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. Having a good time at Midland Campground is simple. Why not take a refreshing hike along the South Boulder Creek Trail, and the nice folks of Winter Park like to hang out close by.
